この展示は、作者・鑑賞者・AI が共同し、俳句によって新たな妖怪を召喚する儀式です。

たかくらかずきと武田俊の往復によって自動筆記的なプロセスで作り上げられた 108 種類の連句 (5/7/5) をバラバラに分解し、鑑賞者は 108x108x108 の単語から任意の俳句 (5/7/5) を作成する。 鑑賞者が選んだ組み合わせの俳句は ChatGPT によって 50 単語の英詩に書き換えられる。英詩は神田川雙陽とたかくらによって開発された、たかくらの作風を模した画像生成 AI に読み取られ、 新たな妖怪を召喚する。妖怪は生まれるとすぐに俳句の名を冠した NFT となりオンラインへ解き放たれる。

この展示は現在の AI の在り方からシュルレアリスムが追っていたテーマを再考する展示です。現在の ChatGPT や Stable Diffusion などの生成形 AI はインターネット上にある世界中の人類のあらゆる アーカイブデータから学習し、人間外の想像力によってテキストや画像をアウトプットしています。それはシュルレアリスム全盛期における人間の無意識への挑戦活動と非常に近いアクセス方式では ないでしょうか。現代の人類は夢や無意識という内的世界にアクセスする代わりに、インターネットを使って人類全体のアーカイブへアクセスし、AI という人間外の想像力を借りて『無意識的意識』 による選択を行うのです。この展示では並列に並べられた作者・鑑賞者・AI の三者の想像力により、『存在しない存在』としての新しい無数の『妖怪』を NFT としてデジタル上に召喚する儀式を行い ます。

This exhibition is a ceremony in which the author, viewer, and AI collaborate to summon a new supernatural creature through haiku. Using an automatic writing-like process through the exchange between Takakura Kazuki and Takeda Shun, 108 types of renku (5/7/5 syllables) were created, which are then deconstructed. The viewer creates their own haiku (5/7/5) from the 108x108x108 words. The haiku combination chosen by the viewer is then rewritten by ChatGPT into a 50-word English poem. This English poem is read by an image-generating AI developed by Kanda River Futayo and Takakura, modeled after Takakura's style, summoning a new supernatural creature. Once born, the creature is immediately named after the haiku and released online as an NFT.

This exhibition reconsiders the themes pursued by surrealism in light of the current state of AI. Generative AIs like ChatGPT and Stable Diffusion learn from all archive data from humans worldwide on the internet, outputting text and images through a non-human imagination. Is this not very similar to the approach of accessing the human unconscious during the heyday of Surrealism? Instead of accessing the inner world of dreams and unconsciousness, contemporary humans use the internet to access the archives of all humanity and use AI, an external human imagination, to make choices through an "unconscious consciousness". In this exhibition, through the parallel imagination of the author, viewer, and AI, a ceremony is conducted to summon countless new "supernatural creatures" as "nonexistent entities" to the digital world as NFTs.

アーティストのたかくらかずき氏と、ヤオヨロズの『拡張子』を神格化した450体の神々のNFTを発表します。購入者は『ハイパー神主』となり、迎え入れた拡張子の神々をブラウザ上の神社に祀れるようになります。

祀られた拡張子の神々は、オンラインの参拝者たちの参拝により信仰心が溜まり、16x16pxで描かれたはじめの『明神』形態から、32x32pxで描かれた『大明神』、64x64で描かれた『大御神』と神々のNFTが三段階に進化していきます。

2024年に展開する『ハイパー神主』フェーズ2では、ハイパー神社の神主（NFT所有者）がアクセスできる、あらゆる神が集う場所として2Dメタバース『ネオ・トコヨ（NEO TOKOYO）』を用意します。

2025年に展開するフェーズ３では、直島のアート旅館『ろ霞』の敷地内にリアル『ハイパー神社』を造営予定。NFT購入者は、リアル『ハイパー神社』で特別なアート体験を用意しています。

We are announcing NFTs for 450 gods who have been deified as the "extensions" of the artist Takakura Kazuki and Myriad's work. Buyers will become "Hyper Shinto Priests" and will be able to enshrine the gods of the extensions they have welcomed in a shrine on their browser. The enshrined gods of extensions accumulate faith through the worship of online visitors, and the gods' NFTs evolve in three stages, from the initial "Myojin" form drawn in 16x16px, to the "Daimyojin" drawn in 32x32px, and finally to the "Oomikami" drawn in 64x64px.

In the "Hyper Shinto Priest" Phase 2 set to launch in 2024, we will prepare "NEO TOKOYO," a 2D metaverse where all gods gather, which can be accessed by the shrine priests (NFT owners) of the Hyper Shrines.

In Phase 3, set to roll out in 2025, we plan to build a real "Hyper Shrine" within the grounds of the art inn "Ro-Kasumi" on Naoshima. NFT buyers will have a special art experience prepared for them at the real "Hyper Shrine."

山梨県でよく見かける『道祖神』は２柱の夫婦像がひとつの石の中に収まったような形の像で、道端などに祀られていることが多い。『和合』の象徴だそうだ。

メタバースやNFTが取り沙汰され、私もそれらについてわりと早めから手を出していた作家として注目してもらえる機会も多くなり、とても嬉しい。が、その反面、それらの現象の本質は未だ適切に理解されていないと感じている。メタバースと呼ばれるものは何なのだろうか、NFTは一体どんなふうに、今までのデジタルデータとは違うのだろうか。

私の一つの答えは『向こう側とこちら側の境界が融解しつつある』ということだ。VRゴーグルでデジタルの世界でも人と人の空間的交流が可能になり、NFTはデジタルデータに価値や質感のような感覚を与えた。これらが意味するものは、いままで全く別の世界だった二つの世界である『現実と仮想』の境界線が薄まりつつあり、二つの世界の和合が進んでいる、ということだ。

全く違うはずの別々の価値観が一つになっていく、というのは時代の転換期に現れる現象なのかもしれない。それは常識が引き裂かれつつある、という現象の裏返しである。融解と分離。現代はあらゆる価値観に対しての分断がいたるところで起こり、何が正義で何が真実なのか、そういうものが曖昧になっているようにも感じる。また、AIや人工細胞の登場により『生きている』ことの定義の変化や、医療の発達や宗教観の変化により、人間にとっての死への距離感も変化しつつある。今まで全く相容れないと思っていた概念たちの和合が始まっている。

昨年、米倉壽仁氏の展示を見て、時代の転換期にあった日本のシュルレアリストの作り出す言葉やイメージが、現代に生きているうえで私が感じている『あらゆる価値観が融解し・引き裂かれつつある状況』にリンクした。機械化が一気に進んだその時代に現れた新しい『現実』をシュルレアリストたちが『機械的リアリズム』と呼んだのであれば、AIが生成したテキストや仮想現実の世界は、彼らの想像していた無意識の世界に極めて近いものなのではないだろうか。シュルレアリストたちは仮想と現実に、社会と自然に、人間と非人間に、常に引き裂かれつつ、それらを何とかひとつの和合にたどりつかせようともがいたのではなかっただろうか。

現代に生きる私たちも常に混乱していて、迷宮の中にいる。だからこそ私は、融解し、引き裂かれ、矛盾が生じている現状を、どうにかしてそのまま表す必要があると思い、物理空間・VR空間・AR的位置空間の３つの別世界を跨いで１つの『メカリアル』を展開することにした。

The "Dosojin" commonly seen in Yamanashi Prefecture are statues shaped like a couple of pillars tucked into a single stone, often enshrined along the roadside. They are said to symbolize "harmony."

With the proliferation of discussions about metaverse and NFTs, I, as an artist who began dabbling in these areas relatively early, have had numerous opportunities to gain attention, which I am truly grateful for. However, I feel that the essence of these phenomena is still not fully understood. What exactly is this so-called metaverse, and how is an NFT different from the digital data we've had until now?

My answer is that "the boundary between the other side and this side is beginning to dissolve." Through VR goggles, spatial interactions between people have become possible in the digital world, and NFTs have added a sense of value and texture to digital data. What this signifies is that the boundary between the two completely different worlds of "reality and virtual" is gradually fading, and a union of the two worlds is progressing.

The phenomenon of completely different value systems merging into one might be indicative of a transitional era. This is the flip side of the phenomenon that common sense is being torn apart. Fusion and separation. In the present era, divisions are occurring everywhere in regard to all value systems, and it feels like what is just and what is true have become ambiguous. Furthermore, with the advent of AI and artificial cells, the definition of what it means to be "alive" is changing, and advancements in medicine and shifts in religious views are altering our sense of distance to death. Concepts that were once thought to be incompatible are starting to unite.

Last year, when I saw the exhibition of Toshihito Yonekura, I felt that the words and images created by Japanese Surrealists in a transitional period resonated with the "situation of all values melting and being torn apart" that I am experiencing in my life today. If the Surrealists called the new "reality" that emerged in their time of rapid mechanization "mechanical realism," then aren't the texts generated by AI and the world of virtual reality extremely close to the unconscious world they imagined? Didn't the Surrealists constantly grapple with the idea of reaching some kind of harmony while being torn apart between the virtual and the real, society and nature, humans and non-humans?

We, living in the present day, are also constantly in confusion, as if we're in a maze. Therefore, I felt the need to somehow express the current situation, where fusion, division, and contradiction are occurring, as it is, and decided to unfold a single "Mekarial" spanning three separate worlds of physical space, VR space, and AR positional space.

In Christianity, it is said that "In the beginning was the Word," but in Buddhism, it is interpreted that "Not everything can be understood by words." The mandala was developed as a device to make one understand Buddhist meanings through images. It was initially something close to a three-dimensional magic circle. "Symbols" and "positions" also have digital connotations.

On the left and right sinks, there are screenshots of the purchase screen from Mercari. In the center, toys bought from Mercari are color-sorted and used to reproduce three emojis on the pixel level. Characters, Oriental art, Western art, and their counterfeits all come from the other side of the screen to our side. All sorts of things have been uniformly turned into toys. I interact with someone on the other side of the screen to collect these toys, and then arrange them again in this place to reproduce the other side of the screen. "Symbols" can be glimpsed from the sight of toys from various genres lined up.

On a windy day, I hold a smartphone with both hands. I gain warmth from the heat energy emitted by the smartphone, and I offer a prayer with both hands towards the light on the other side of the screen. Not everything can be understood by words.
